The Ramboll Return to Work Programme

Ramboll Return to Work Programme Ramboll Return to Work Programme is now live.

Its aim is to reinvigorate the careers of those who have taken time out, ring-fencing flexible opportunities for returners and providing additional support to ease the transition. Ramboll is a global engineering, architecture and consultancy company with over 1,300 bright minds working across 17 offices to apply their passion to deliver innovative solutions across Buildings, Transport, Environment & Health and Energy.

16 dedicated returner roles are now live across Project Management, Engineering, Sustainability and Energy Consulting.
  • Ramboll have offices in London, Southampton, Bristol, Birmingham, Chester, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and more
  • are open to flexible working over 3, 4 or 5 days across these offices
  • as well as being open to working from home
  • you will receive on-going 1:1 coaching and on-going support

8th October is the deadline but candidates will be interviewed on a rolling basis so no need to wait until then to apply.

The cohort begins on 10th January 2022 for 6 months and ends July 2022.

Return To Work With Wells Fargo

Glide – Relaunch is a paid internship-to-full-time program for talented professionals returning to the workforce after taking a voluntary career break of at least 2 years. For available roles see below.

The Glide-Relaunch Programme 

Glide Relaunch provides the necessary resources to support and accelerate your exposure at Wells Fargo with a programme manager-led experience that includes a skills refresh, training, curriculum and senior networking opportunities; giving you the chance to learn from successful leaders at Wells Fargo who will share their expertise and knowledge to help you become a future leader.

You will develop an understanding of Wells Fargo’s unique values and culture, which you will experience first-hand in your interactions with highly talented team members.  This programme experience is woven throughout your internship as you work and engage with the line of business for the full-time employment opportunity, which based on performance during the internship period, you may be considered for at the end of the eight weeks.  

Our 8-week programme will run from September through November 2021. 

The programme was envisioned to address a specific issue, which for years has been the cause for an imbalance in the workforce composition worldwide; the loss of vast talent pools in the form of people unable to continue their careers due to personal commitments.

What’s Involved?

This 8-week programme offers support, training, and resources needed to relaunch careers as leaders at Wells Fargo. 

Following a structured training and an orientation session, you’ll network with your peers and Wells Fargo leaders while you refresh or develop your skills and knowledge of our financial products and services.

Then, you’ll join a team of experienced Wells Fargo team members for on-the-job training, mentorship, and development.

The goal of the programme is to hire participants who meet performance expectations into similar full-time roles within Wells Fargo following the internship.

Free returner programme set to boost tech skills in the North West

Tech Returners an organisation focused on empowering careers back into technology is launching an eighth cohort of it’s Your Return To Tech programme for individuals in Manchester and Lancashire. 

The programme called Your Return to Tech provides skilled tech professionals returning to industry accessible opportunities to refresh their skills and reignite their career but it doesn’t stop at learning and development, the organisation works closely with businesses who recognise the value of industry returners and who are passionate about creating diversity and inclusivity in their teams to provide an innovative tech talent solution.

The 8-week programme recognises the need from businesses growing their teams to bring tech talent to the market quickly and with the skills in place to hit the ground running in mid-senior level technical roles. The entirely remote learning experience boasts a curriculum which includes refreshing existing tech skills, front end frameworks ‘React’ (Hooks, Context, API) alongside Cloud technologies (AWS tooling), delivered alongside platform engineering skills such as infrastructure such as code CI/CD and monitoring. 

Uniquely the programme will connect with businesses looking to hire from the programme who will provide live briefs for our returners to work on throughout the 8 week period. Interested businesses can sponsor places on the course at more than 50% less than the average technical hire making it an affordable and competitive option versus traditional recruitment agency fees.

This will be the eighth time the programme has run in the North West, since 2017 

The organisation has empowered more than 55 returners into mid-senior level technical careers with businesses like AutoTrader,, Lloyds Banking Group, ANS and Infinity Works, Alpha, Xero and Eigen Technologies and has worked exclusively with the BBC in Manchester and London respectively, The organisation is currently running a cohort of the programme in London working with businesses including BlackRock, Vodafone, BJSS and IDBS, and in Manchester working exclusively with AO.
